For quite some time now, many have been hearing about a new ministry starting up here in west Georgia. If you happen to be one of those who’ve heard bits and pieces, or if you haven’t heard anything at all, please let me share more about this exciting concept.
First of all, if you are by any means thinking this is merely a knee-jerk reaction by a preacher who suddenly finds himself without a job, let me assure you, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, although we will be operating under a new name, we will still be doing the same day-in and day-out ministries that we’ve done for decades now.

Pastoral Care
We’re providing all kinds of care to all kinds of people. To the churched or the unchurched, we want to be available to come along side and help to meet needs or heal the hurt.
Transportation
Whether it’s a doctor visit, a trip to the grocery, or drug store, we can get them there. It is amazing the number of people that are so desperate for this one necessity that many of us take for granted.
Wheelchair Ramps And Medical Supplies
We have a team who specializes in customizing ramps for those in need. OCS can also assist in providing wheelchairs, walkers and other medical equipment if needed.
Personal Visitation
Jesus once said, “I was sick and in prison and you visited me..” Whether they’re homebound, hospitalized, in a nursing home, or incarcerated, people get lonely and need a visit. We are and will continue to be there.
Food, Shelter, And Clothing
Often called the three essentials for life, we help to provide these vital needs every day. Food, clothes, and housing are really just the beginning. People need help with utilities, furniture, and basic household items as well.
Spiritual Guidance
As rewarding as it is to help meet physical, financial, emotional and social needs, nothing compares to helping people spiritually. In every act of “loving on people”, the ultimate goal is to help them experience God’s love and grace and teach them to love others in response.
