About Us
About Us
First of all, if you are by any means thinking this is merely a knee-jerk reaction by a preacher who suddenly finds himself without a job, let me assure you, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, although we will be operating under a new name, we will still be doing the same day-in and day-out ministries that we’ve done for decades now.
Growing up we were blessed with servant-hearted parents and watched them love on all kinds of people from all walks of life. Along with their impact, our preachers, Bro. Autrey Jackson and Bro. Les Shell had a huge influence upon us as well. After years of seeing these role models care for others, we committed our lives to ministry. For 40 years now, we’ve been blessed to do so while supported by the local churches we have served. For the past 32 years, Bethany Christian Church has been very generous in caring for our family.
Beginning January 1, 2015, we will be facing quite a change. While committed to years of ministry ahead, we will no longer enjoy the benefit of a guaranteed salary. For the first time in our lives, we are beginning to truly understand the term “home missions.” Stepping out in faith, we’re trusting God and God’s people to make it possible for us to continue serving others. As in the past, we want to minister to all types of people from all walks of life. Thus, Omni Christian Services.
“Omni” is an all-encompassing word that conveys the idea of covering everything. “Christian Services” is simple enough for everyone to understand. Whether the need is spiritual, physical, financial, emotional or social in nature, we hope to help.
Now here’s where you come in. Make no mistake about it, we want and need you to partner with us. First and foremost, please be in prayer for this new ministry. Pray that God will open doors for us to honor Him as we serve others. Second, please call us with any needs you are aware of. Keep us informed as to how we might care for you, your loved ones and friends. As in the past, we are available 24/7, 365 days a year. Nothing is ever too big or too small. Be watching for more details as to what some of our services will be, but if you’re in doubt, call and we will work on it together.
As you know from loving on people yourself, ministry takes money. In order for us to provide services and genuine ministries of all kinds without requiring payments or making charges, we need those who will help underwrite this ministry. While asking for your support, we will make you a promise in return. Should you choose to partner with us, we will do our very best to be faithful stewards of what you entrust to us.
In conclusion, let us close by saying God has already been opening up doors for us. After years of serving with Fullerville Mission in Villa Rica, Georgia, their Board of Directors have endorsed our new ministry and allowed us to come in under their tax-deductible status. What that means is as of mid-November, 2014, anyone wishing to make contributions to help fund our new ministry can now do so. Your one-time gifts, occasional donations, or regular support are tax-deductible when you make the check out to Fullerville Mission and simply state on the bottom left line that your gift is for “O.C.S.” All checks, along with helpful information or suggestions can be mailed to Omni Christian Services at 324 Dyer Road, Carrollton, Georgia, 30116.
Thanks for all you might choose to do in helping our missions statement become a reality. With your help, together we will be “loving people, loving people.”
